Students will work collaboratively on a project-based curriculum to learn hands-on about rituals from throughout history and around the world, as well as applying them to today's clients. With the increasing number of people who do not identify with a religion, there is an increasing need for secular services of all types. This is particularly true when it comes to celebrating the end of a life. Funerals, memorials, end of life celebrations, and now - living funerals, all provide opportunities for celebrants to offer a much needed service to a growing population. In this course, you will learn of the various ways people honor death and celebrate the life of the deceased. Ceremony structure, rituals, and the careful process of interviewing clients will be addressed in this intensive four-week course. This is one of four courses requirements on the End of Life Track to achieve an Associate Celebrant Certificate. The course offered Monday, November 2 to Monday, November 23, 2020 @ 8:00PM (EST).

All six (6) courses offered at a discount to those ready to become the most highly sought after Celebrant in their target area! Your new recognition as a qualified expert and the priceless networking opportunities for those who complete this program can pay for a Master Celebrant Certificate within just four weddings. Take all aspects of your business to the highest performance level possible! The Masters Celebrant Certificate takes approximately six (6) months to complete. Each required course will be offered twice annually, once in the spring and once in the fall.
Associate Celebrants are recognized after completing three of our individual course modules. The Presentation Pro series allows you to focus specifically on the public-facing elements of your business: public speaking, business and client management, networking, plus digital and traditional marketing. These are important areas of Celebrancy, but more so for individuals in a growth phase, or who are talented writers and excel in that one-on-one experience, but need additional tools for larger online and in-person audiences. Whether you are new in this field, or a seasoned member of our community, this coursework will build the skills needed to be memorable.
Associate Celebrants are recognized after completing three of our individual course modules. This Fundamentals series allows you to focus your learning specifically on areas that will set you up for a successful and sustainable career as a Celebrant. Such as and introduction to the professional and understanding more about secular ceremonies, traditions and rituals from around the world, and capturing these foundations in a well written ceremony that reflects your clients' better than they could have imagine! Whether you have lead some of life's important celebrations already, or are interested in doing so as a rewarding second career, this coursework will allow you to map out your own path to success and introduce you to a network to of pros to help you out!
This four-course track leads to a specialized Associate Celebrant Certificate in End of Life Ceremonies. We will cover how to discuss death and the deceased with your clients, and prepare you to ask questions with sensitivity to religious, cultural, and personal beliefs. Plus we will explore how a Celebrant or Officiant can assist with grief, especially when a death is traumatic. Learners will be supported by our expert instructors as we focus our training on crafting different ceremonies such as; Memorials, End of Life, Funeral, Graveside, Committal of the body, Living Funeral, Structure, Eulogies and more. Those who complete these three courses, and the End if Life Celebration module will receive an Associate Celebrant Certificate. The following Celebrant Academy Courses are prerequisites to joining out End of Life track: Performing Rituals (currently offered June 2020); Ceremony Writing (currently offered August 2020); Public Speaking and Presentation (currently offered September 2020); End of Life Celebrations (currently offered November 2020).
